An elusive Banksy-style artist has been creating complex tree sculptures in a North Yorkshire wood.

Locals were stumped when these intricate carvings started appearing around Knaresborough.

The detailed designs stand between 10 and 20 feet high and include a kingfisher, a dragon and ghostly red Indian-like figure with a feathered headdress.

No one has ever seen when the guerrilla carpenter arrives or leaves as the stunning sculptures seemed to appear from nowhere around two months ago.
